They are not professional, accredited or state-approved training, they do not count toward any security license or registration, and they are not legal, medical or psychological advice. No guarantee

The techniques and information in these courses do not work in every situation, and laws and licensing rules change. Taking a course does not guarantee any result and is no substitute for your own judgment, your employer's procedures, official state guidance or emergency services.

Certificates

A certificate of completion shows only that a person completed an online informational course and passed its quiz. It is not a license, credential or accreditation, and it does not authorize anyone to work as a security officer, carry any weapon or spray, or use force. Certificates are generated on the learner's device from the name they enter, and we do not verify identity.

Membership and billing

Security Officer Basics is free. Membership gives access to every course and the members' job board while it is active, for $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year, paid in advance through Stripe. Membership renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account page; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. Payments already made are not refunded for unused time, except where the law requires it. We will email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect for you. A membership is for one person; do not share your login.

Use of the site

You may use the courses for personal learning and share links to them. Do not copy or resell the content. We may change or remove courses at any time.
