Free Security Post Orders Template
Post orders are the written instructions for one security post: what the officer does, when, and who to call. Supervisors and site managers can use this as a starting point; officers can use it to know what to ask for.
Tips
- Write one set of post orders for each post, and keep a copy at the post.
- Use plain steps: what to do, when, and who to call.
- Say what the officer should not do as clearly as what they should do.
- Never write alarm codes, passwords or safe combinations on copies kept at the post.
- Have every officer read and sign each new version, and keep the signed copies.
- Review them whenever duties, contacts or the site change.
